In the cigar industry, anniversaries are typically marked in five- or ten-year milestones. However, Andre Farkas, owner of Viaje, is taking a unique approach. To celebrate 17 and a half years of Viaje, he is releasing a special trio of cigars named Fifteen Plus Two and a Half Anniversary, set to ship on February 17.
Each edition—Silver, Red, and Gold—is presented in 25-count boxes, with all three featuring the same vitola: a 6 x 54 box-pressed toro, priced at $16.32 per cigar. While Farkas has kept blend details under wraps, he confirmed that all are crafted entirely from Nicaraguan tobacco grown on Aganorsa Leaf’s farms. Production takes place at Aganorsa’s factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. The Silver and Gold versions are wrapped in Criollo, while the Red features a Corojo wrapper.
Designed to be full-bodied, the Fifteen Plus Two and a Half Anniversary cigars pay tribute to Viaje’s dedicated supporters.
“All the thanks go to the people that support the brand,” Farkas says. “From the growers to the factories, the retailers, and of course, the consumers. This anniversary project is really for the fans.”
