The Rodriguez Family began cultivating tobacco in 1947 at their plantation, La Finca de Carmencita, in Cuba’s Las Villas province. After relocating to Key West in 1971, they established the Rodriguez Cigar Factory, which officially opened in 1984, making it the oldest cigar manufacturer in the Florida Keys. Over time, the family expanded operations to Nicaragua, continuing to produce premium cigars using hand-selected, vintage tobacco leaves and traditional Cuban techniques.
