"Blood Medicine" draws its name from a historic three-story building on the corner of Broadway and 4th Avenue in downtown Nashville, Tennessee. Originally constructed in 1872 as a pharmacy, the building was converted into a hotel in 1892. The Merchants Hotel operated until the 1980s before being purchased and reopened as Merchants Restaurant in 1988.
Over the years, the hotel welcomed legendary musicians such as Hank Williams, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, and Patsy Cline. Rumors also swirl about the building’s colorful past, with whispers of it once serving as a brothel and casino. Adding to its mystique, tales of Civil War ghosts wandering the halls have become part of local lore.
Despite its many transformations, traces of its original pharmacy roots remain. Faintly visible on the building’s exterior is the painted phrase "Blood Medicine", a relic of its past. This cigar pays tribute to the rich history of Crowned Heads’ hometown, delivering a smoking experience as bold and memorable as Nashville itself.
