Through a specialized process that lowers humidity to 40% before gradually returning it to 70%, the cigars are allowed to “breathe,” absorbing the nuanced character of each cedar and developing a uniquely refined aroma and flavor profile.

Inspired by rich heritage, Atabey draws its name from the revered goddess of the Taíno people, the same culture credited with the earliest form of cigar smoking. In sacred rituals known as Cohiba ceremonies, smoke was offered as a spiritual connection to the divine, guided by the tribe’s shaman, the Behike.
